This is one of my most popular fonts, and the first one I released. You’ve probably seen it in ads for Marriott, posters for the film Memento, and Alamo Car Rental, and practically everywhere else. It is popular with children’s book publishers, and it was cool to see it used as Hagrid’s handwriting in the Harry Potter books.
It’s my own handwriting carefully digitized by hand (not auto-traced). Here is the original artwork. Handwriting fonts are very common now, but they weren’t in 1989. I did it just to see what it would look like, never dreaming that other people might want to use it. (Thank you, Mark Solsburg of FontHaus.)
Two new weights—Bold and Heavy—were added in 2003.
First released in 1992.
